For the second time in 2 weeks Hicksville attended a big fat Premiere. This week it was the turn of The Karate Kid to grace our Thursday evening with stars, glamour and pizzazz. Thanks very much to Sony Pictures who laid on canapes, alcoholic refreshments and breakdancers a-plenty. Not to mention a kick-ass film that managed to reference without ruining, pay homage without… Anyway it was awesome. Go see it. Take your friends. Beat up some bullies. Feel good about yourself.

Last night Hicksville attended the World Premiere of Inception. Also in attendance were Leo DiCaprio, Michael Caine and Christopher Nolan. The film is incredible, but was slightly pipped by the after party in Battersea Power Station. Other high points included being mistaken for the Foals by the talent spotter and the lamb koftas canapes. Awesome night. Thanks to Sara and Sarah at Warner Bros!

Last weekend we celebrated our fifth birthday with a ‘Hick-nic’ in Regents Park. Our friends and some esteemed clients from Sony, Warner & Disney attended to witness expert frisbee throwing, taste our three roast hams and drink their weight in Pimms. Thank god the weather held out! Looks like another Hicksville tradition is born.
OK, I’ve made a playlist to get me around Monday’s BUPA 10K run. My aim is to make it in 45 minutes so to pace myself going round (there are markers every 1km) I’ve picked a 9 minute song to start and eight further four-and-a-half minute tracks. Songs with pun titles not intentional.

2. 100 MILES AND RUNNIN’: NWA (4:20)
3. MANEATER: Hall & Oates (4:34)
4. WHEN?: Jimmy Castor Bunch (4:30)
5. RUNNIN’ DOWN A DREAM: Tom Petty (4:24)
6. NO ONE KNOWS: Queens of the Stone Age (4:37)

Last night you may have overheard some pretty rambunctious behaviour in East London. It was us. Hicksville descended en mass with a few of our friends; Nat from Warner Music, Jess from Harper Collins and Adele from Woodthorpe. Great Pizza, great Gavi di Gavi, prosecco, cocktails, beers and I should mention the “heavenly” Lemon Pot (see below). Then on to Electricity Showrooms for more wine, then on to somewhere else for more wine.
Sorry if we kept you up!

We’re delighted to announce that we have a new member of our family. Emma Priestley will be joining us on the 24th of May. Emma’s temporary contract at the British Video Association ran out and we snapped her up. Welcome to Hicksville Emma.
from our ‘snug’ offices in Percy Street to much larger premises in Holborn. The move will take place in mid June and, of course, there will be an inevitable party to celebrate. Friends, you know who you are. Practise your best dance moves.
